Q1. What material are the silhouette cards made of?
Each set is crafted from thick black paper card — sturdy enough to hold its shape, not the thin paper that tears easily.

Q2. Will paper cards make storytelling difficult?
Not at all. Each story includes a printed narrative card that guides you through every scene in sequence, helping you tell the story smoothly as the silhouettes appear.

Q3. What kind of light source works best?
Use a single-point LED light such as a phone torch or small flashlight, positioned about 40 cm away. Avoid multi-LED or diffused lights, as these can cause double or blurry shadows.

Q4. How far should the cards be from the wall?
For the clearest projection, keep the wall within 2 metres. You may go further, but due to light scattering, edges will appear slightly softer.

Q5. Where can I use it?
Best enjoyed indoors, in a dimly lit space. Avoid open flames or candles — a cool LED light is both safer and clearer.

Q6. Can children use it?
Shadovelle products are designed as decorative storytelling displays, not as toys. Adult supervision is necessary when children are present.

Q7. How do I store the cards after use?
Keep them flat inside their original box or envelope, away from moisture or direct sunlight to preserve their crisp edges and deep black colour.

Q8. Are the designs double-sided?
Each silhouette card is single-sided, laser-cut for optimal shadow projection. The reverse side is matte black to prevent unwanted reflections.

Q9. Do you create seasonal designs?
Yes — new editions and seasonal collections are released from time to time. You can follow us on social media or email us for updates.

Q10. Where are orders shipped from?
All orders are dispatched from the United Kingdom via Royal Mail. Most parcels arrive within 2–3 working days after dispatch.
